Prickly Pair & Cactus Chorale

With stellar vocals and old-time fiddling, Wyoming 'cowfolk', Prickly Pair, Les and Locke Hamilton hail from NW Wyoming. Their refreshing and diverse acoustic style blends vintage Western, cowboy folk tunes, yodeling and original material that perpetuates this AMERICANA art form. One of their signatures is the Celtic music that influenced early cowboy songs.

Prickly Pair pleased to introduce the newest member of their band, Norman Winter on the stand-up bass. Norman also offers lead and harmony vocals. As the new official "Cactus Chorale", Norman adds an expanded dimension to Prickly Pair's sound. He is a very talented musician he is funny, handsome, full of happy energy and sings like an angel! What more could be asked for?

All SIX of Prickly Pair's self-produced recordings have charted on Americana folk radio nationwide. The 2003 CD entitled "The Lights of Cheyenne" stayed on the folk charts for over 25 weeks and was aired by famous folk radio stations such as WUMB- Boston. From 1998 to 2007 they have received numerous award

nominations from the Western Music Association and the Academy of Western Artists. Their 7th CD project, "Romance with the Range", will be unleashed in May of 2008.
