Glenn Ohrlin

 

1985 National Heritage Award fellow, author of "The Hellbound Train - A Cowboy's Songbook"

A lifelong cowboy, rancher and former rodeo bronc rider, Glenn still ranches and runs a cow outfit near Mountain View, Arkansas. Glenn has appeared at numerous Folk Festivals, Art Councils, Cowboy Gatherings and has appeared many times on Garison Kielor's II A Prairie Home Companion" radio show.

He brings such songs as the "High Tone Dance (feeling like a burro in a flock of pretty sheep), Zebra Dun, the cook "Boomer Johnson" who shot the holes in his doughnuts. Other songs of the deep Southwest and Mexican border and the Northern plains near our other border.
